Meeting recording to text

Choose a saved Zoom, Google Meet or Teams recording and get a transcript for minutes and follow-ups.

How to transcribe a meeting recording

  1. Download the meeting recording (MP4 or M4A) from Zoom, Meet or Teams.
  2. Choose it here and pick the language.
  3. Download the text and pull out decisions and action points.

No meeting bot needed

Many note-taking services join your call as a bot and send the audio to their servers. Here you transcribe the recording afterwards on your own computer, which suits confidential meetings and organisations that do not allow third-party bots.

Frequently asked questions

Is my recording uploaded to a server?

No. The speech model is downloaded to your browser once and the audio is transcribed on your own phone or computer. The file never leaves your device.

Why is the first transcription slower?

The first time, your browser downloads the speech model (about 40 MB for Quick, 80 MB for Balanced, 250 MB for Accurate). After that it is cached and starts in seconds, even offline.

How long can the recording be?

There is no fixed limit. An hour-long lecture works on most laptops; on a phone, recordings under about 30 minutes are more comfortable. Lines appear while it works, so you can stop at any point and keep what is done.

Zoom gave me separate audio and video files. Which one?

The M4A audio file is smaller and transcribes faster; the result is the same.
